Long Day Ahead!

Taking my placment test from 9am-2pm, then I'm sure we'll go explore the city and have fun most of the rest of the day. :D Hopefully I'll have another vlog up tonight! I took a video of the area from my balcony (since it was light out) and me eating breakfast (which was UMAI!) soo...yeahh, already got some material there :P

EDIT: Finished my placement test and went on an adventure in Akihabara! So our program is located off the Akihabara station on the JR Sobu line, about a 30-40minute commute from Kameido. Everyone met up in the lobby of the mansion at 8 to go there, walked to the station, bought tickets, and got on the train. It was super packed so we did the whole 'sardines' thing. Got off at Akihabara and walked for about 15 minutes to find the place. After we found it, we got separated into different testing rooms and started taking the test. It was in many different parts...the first was basic grammar, then listening (basic, int and adv...you just tried to do as much as possible), kanji (basic, int and adv--same), then intermediate grammar and advanced grammar. Some people were let out before intermediate grammar because they graded all the parts right after we took them, so people who didn't do great on basic were let out early. Then after you finished the test, you had an oral interview...pretty much just a conversation with one of the teachers. I think that went okay. :D Apparently I did really well on the listening portion (even on intermediate) so the teacher asked me about that and I told her I watch jdramas and anime which helps with that. But with kanji, I rarely use it so my score on that won't be good <.< I think we'll find out tomorrow where we placed so that should be interesting. We have orientation from 9-noon so we have to go to another place in Akihabara for that. On friday, we start ILP at the building we went to today.

After I finished the oral interview part, I decided to wait around for my friends to finish so we could get lunch together. Since none of us have phones yet, it's hard to meet up with anyone later. I also got to talk to a lot of people from other schools who are going to other schools besides Keio so that was fun. A few of us tried waiting for people for a while, but they were taking a long time so we finally gave up (after waiting over an hour). A group of about 8 of us went and grabbed lunch at a soba/udon place down the road (cheap! and good!) and then started exploring Akihabara. We came across quite a few anime stores, maid cafes and electronics stores and pretty much covered the main parts of it. Also stopped for gyoza at the same place I went to last night (well, same chain...not same restaurant) cuz it was hot out and the guys wanted beer. LOL. After that we decided to head back to Kameido, took the train and stopped at Book off right after we got off. After that, headed back to the mansion and I'm chilling here now. I'll probably head out soon and go to Don Quixote or Tsutaya (or both). I'm not sure what other people are doing or if they are out, but I might go knock on my friends doors to see if they're in and want to do anything for dinner. :D
