Big Bang Big Show!

My first concert in Korea! Hopefully one of many to come. :) I was so lucky that I ended up in Korea the weekend of the Big Show concerts for Big Bang, though I didn't think when I was booking the tickets that that would even happen. I found out after I booked my flight that that was when it was happening, and somehow managed to find someone randomly on soompi that had extra tickets and wanted to sell them. So lucky! Normally, I'm never this lucky with tickets :) I had to call her from payphones to meet up but eventually we did meet on the day of the concert (though I got lost and went to the wrong stadium which was an hour away from where I should had been) and got my ticket! She was also really nice and we met up afterwards to travel home together. Anywayyyy, when I got there, I wasn't sure if it was her when I went to the meeting place, so we were pretty much right next to each other and didn't know if we were the right people. Finally I said 'excuse me' to her, just in case and it was her! Another streak of luck. She helped me get my wristband and then went to check in her bag and then I went to buy food and a lightstick. We were in different sections so we separated and I went in line to get in for my section. It was standing so I actually got to be really close to the front and it was AMAZING!!! O...M...G. Everything I could had asked for or more. ^^ For a bit of the playlist...

-They played Lies first and I almost died. It was the first BB song that I was really into and it introduced me to their stuff. Then Gara Gara Go! Which was surprising because I had no idea that they were going to play Japanese songs. Later on they ended up playing Koe wo Kikasete, Number 1, Stay, and Top of the World. Could not believe it! They also did all the solo songs; Heartbreaker, Cotton Candy, Strong Baby, Wedding Dress (and Look at Me) and TOP's new solo (which I can't remember the name of...they only played a music video). TOP also did another solo song and he played the harmonica! For Korean songs, besides Lies (which they played to open AND close the concert), they played Last Farewell, Haru Haru, Always, Sunset Glow, My Heaven, and Stylish (while wearing FILA). They also played some songs that I didn't know, but only a couple. Seungri and Daesung did a bunch of bits of songs, none of which I was very familiar with. TOP, Gdragon and Taeyang also sang Hallelujah from IRIS which was amazing!

-2NE1 was also there!!! They played Fire and I Don't Care, both of which were so great live. Dara is adorable, Minji is a baller, CL is badass and Bom is pretty hot. Yes, I say this as a girl. I will get to the guys descriptions later. But they didn't do Lollipop unfortunately. :/

-The boys did a lot of couples dancing with female dancers which was scandalicious. Pretty awesome though! I had no complaints! There was this one part where they all got bitch-slapped by their female partners but TOP was totally not with his dancer so ended up avoiding it. LOL.

-Now, being able to be about 15 feet (or less) from where boys were standing at certain parts of the concert, I feel like I actually know what they look like in person! First of all, G-dragon is smoking hot. I was really surprised because I never found him that good looking (or decent looking) until Heartbreaker with his blonde hair. But even with his weird black hair and haircut, he looked GOOD. and by GOOD, I mean REALLY GOOD. He can dance...when he smiles it's insane and I feel like he really connects with people. And he is always spot on with his rapping. Love it! He kept laughing at the members when they did stupid stuff which I thought was so cute. ><

-TOP is gorgeous in real life. He looks bigger than the other members (cuz they are all kinda tiny, especially G-dragon...that boy is skinny) but he looks so amazing in a suit. He also has a nice ass. LOL. They spend a lot of time facing the other way when he was on my side, so I got a good look. <.< Not on purpose though! His rapping is also perfect and hot and glorious....and when he played that harmonica...I don't think anyone else could had made it sexier. Even though he isn't exactly the best dancer, you can tell he tries...and when he is sweating bullets, he still looks like a god amongst men.

-Seungri is SO GOOD LOOKING. I can't exactly call him sexy or cute, he is just...REALLY REALLY GOOD LOOKING. Haha. Any time he got close enough for me to really see him, I was just in awe of him. And he can sing!!! The high notes he hit while singing with Daesung I did not expect out of him at all. He also has no problems dancing with female dancers. Dear lordy...Strong Baby was like the craziest couples dance where they were all over him doing moves from latin ballroom with flip and shiz. Woo!

-Taeyang is just WOW in person. I didn't get to see him as much on my side as the others, but dangggg! He is beautiful. He took off his jacket during Wedding Dress and you could see how defined his arms were and just how good looking he really is. I think he might had lifted his shirt while he was on the other side of the stage too >< But the camera wasn't focused on that. His singing was also perfect and I was impressed.

-Daesung...what a cutie! Seriously, he looks like an adorable cherub or something. When he came to our side smiling, I was totally speechless. And when he sings, holy crap!!! He hit high notes that I didn't even know anyone in BB could do. He was on our side a lot and I totally appreciated it. :D

--on other notes--

-They did this thing for intermission sorta where they played a video that made for Big Show. It was a 1 night 2 day thing-y. They had to play a game where there were 5 covered cups and 2 were nasty concoctions which members would randomly drink. The two unfortunate people were forced to sleep outside in the snow in a tent! (Taeyang and Daesung) but then they ended up sneaking back inside to sleep with the others. Haha. And you get to see their 'just woke up' face. Seungri and TOP also played ping pong and TOP made so many mistakes that he lost. After he lost his first point, he took off his giant black parka and actually revealed his arms which are surprisingly...HOT. But then he quickly put the parka back on after he lost another point. LOL. They were so cute! apparently it's going to be a DVD.

-There were so many pyrotechnics and sparklers...I actually felt like I was in one of those DVDs I've seen of Kpop concerts! They also shot out gold and silver streamers and it rained white paper at the end of the night. It felt like such a big scale production and I loved it!!!

-They also had a live band and backup singers for certain songs. Loved that too!!!

-There seemed to be a number of international fans there too. In my section really close to me, there were Japanese and English speaking fans...which was pretty cool. I felt like I was one of the only ones who could sing along to their Japanese AND English songs perfectly :D Or at least better than I can sing their kpop stuff.

-The goods sold out/closed before I even got to the arena, so I wasn't able to buy anything official. But after the concert, there were a lot of street vendors selling BB (and other Kpop) merch so I ended up getting some stuff then. So along with my lightstick, I got a TOP folder, TOP stickers, SHINEE stickers, Suju phone strap and BB pin. And it cost me like $5 for all of it! YAY!

-I also bought food from street vendors right in front of the arena! And there was a conbini right in front too :)

-Everyone was dressed awesomely. The boys looked GOOD! TOP did wear this crazy suit with like...giant diamonds all over it which was kinda weird but other than that, loved everything else they wore. During the encore they wore tanktops (TOP wore a sweatshirt) with their names on the back.

-I also think they took a page of the jpop concert manual and had some effects that remind of Johnnys. Taeyang went on top of a crane and Daesung and Seungri went to the top level of seats on those moving carts so people on the third level got to see them up close. Gdragon and TOP went on hanging devices so they went over the crowd. Very Johnnys esque. I'm sure their Japanese concerts will have lots of that.

-I was really impressed by all of their dancing. They can all bring it!! Especially live...their dancing is all really strong. No lie!! Taeyang I knew could dance up a storm, but Seungri and GDragon brought it like I didn't know they could.

-On the way home, we had to catch the last train and it ended up being SO PACKED with people! People fell over on the train, the people who were already in the train kinda freaked out because this huge herd of people stampeded in, and all the abrupt stops were crazy. My god. Way worse than the commuting trains during rush hour in Japan ><

In general, I couldn't have asked for a better concert experience, especially since I didn't really have expectations of it. I wasn't even sure until that ticket was in my hand that I was going to go because I was afraid I would get scammed or something would end up happening where I couldn't go. But I ended up there and experienced all of it! I feel so lucky! And it was all so, so amazing and worth every minute!! The tickets were pretty much the cheapest out of all my kpop tickets so far too! With all the extravant awesomeness and amazing perfomances, I am completely satisfied and SO HAPPY! :D
